Her Garden
An old path beckons me to come
and walk through a garden fair,
where the sun touches every leaf
and sweet nectars perfume the air
The path takes me through hedges green
to trees so ancient and tall,
and lavendar carpets are laid for me
and ivy adorns the walls
I'm taken down to a rippling pool
that reflects the blue skies above.
The sun and the clouds, they live there too
in the garden She tends with love.
The old path is tempting me to stay
and keep Her fair garden my own,
but it is only by sharing Her beauty,
that the seeds of Her magic are sown

Reminds me of the Imagist movement. Very good!

Here's another from about a year ago. I wrote this one for a young friend of mine who was going through a very hard bout of depression. She and I and the lady for whom I wrote "Her Garden" were all closest friends, and she had a difficult time handling the grief. She's becoming a very gifted poet herself now, and has turned her experiences into songwriting.
Turning Tides
Today is my bad day
My hidden pain
A shell with no soul
Shouting in vain
Treading through regrets
Stepping in shame
Myself unforgiven
My tears unrestrained
Tomorrow will come though
My tears will be dried
My heart will be mended
My hurt pacified
Standing my own ground
Turning the tide
I will not be broken
And pain will subside
Turning Tides
Today is my bad day
My hidden pain
A shell with no soul
Shouting in vain
Treading through regrets
Stepping in shame
Myself unforgiven
My tears unrestrained
Tomorrow will come though
My tears will be dried
My heart will be mended
My hurt pacified
Standing my own ground
Turning the tide
I will not be broken
And pain will subside

This one seemed appropriate today.
(untitled)
I'll never see her again
the kind of friend I would like to be
taken too soon away from me
Across a wall I cannot breech
to where only dreams and prayers can reach
beyond this hurtful place
I contemplae now
how though we all feel out of touch
we depend on one another so much
The greatest love has the strength
to reach well beyond arm's length
in unending embrace
