I noticed Warlord doesn't have any seige weapons, like catapults or cannons. There is a catapult, but its more for the Necropolis army, and there are cannons, but they are sort of faction limited. I think there should be some general seige weapons, like just a normal catapult or a seige tower, or general cannon. Nothing faction limited, just made of wood and iron. Anyone with me here?

Yep. How tall are these walls you're wanting to scale?

Well, I was thinking about trying to make a castle for a scenario. One army assults the other. This would be a huge project and could take a while. However, I was thinking of doing up walls about 5-6 inches high. However if these seige models happened to come out, its only a matter of rescaling the wall to fit the weapons.

Cheers,
Meady (Praying for some seige! ::D: )

Okay. What are the average heights for 28mm-scale castle walls? I'll make a seige tower eventually, and I want to have decent measurements.

Wow. I have castle envy ;^D

I am working on a small "Wooden Palisade" type border fort. Walls about 2"-3" tall on a raised mound, with a ditch surrounding it and cheavux-de-frise up the slope of the ditch. It's roughly a foot square inside the ditch. How big are you planning this citadel?

Hi Meady,

not sure what stats were used, but at Origins one of the scenarios involved a battering ram to get through a castle door. It worked too!

Lord Baasen was running the demo, maybe he could help?

What kind of paint did you use Steve?

Oh.. and my Crusaders are banging on the engineers door asking for a trebuchet. I really don't want to toothpick-fu one but I will if I have too! You've been warned! ::P:

Be warned that when you toothpick-fu a trebuchet, you have to be careful. The weight you use can snap the toothpick beams, strong as they are, or they can be too light to do anything.

I used latex house paint over a coat of sand glued to the foam. Then two coats of drybrushing.

BTW, I'm working on the blueprints for Aizen Khral. I plan to bring a model of it to the next Reapercon.

And that is why I'll be going with dwarves, so that I can just tunnel under walls.
