I just finished gluing some (painted) wings onto a (painted) sophie. My god, how I hate doing that. What a heart-stopping ordeal. So far, so good.. just got to finish top coating, do some touch ups, and voila!
Phew!

Quick note or two, while I have a sec...
Marike's auction was delayed because of Anne Exhaustion. I will try to post it tonight.
We have Kyle Killingsworth's Sophie (pics not up yet) but otherwise all other Sophies (Ali's, Derek's, etc.) are not in-hand yet (very soon!). What this means is that we will probably run some of these auctions AFTER the Con. I don't want to put up auctions too close to the convention because I know people will be saving money to actually spend here or to buy RC Sophies online. Sooooo...those of you who are coming will get to see some of these beauties at ReaperCon before they go up for sale!! And after Marike's is done, and possibly Kyle's, I will hold off on putting more Sophies up 'till a week or two after the Con.

More time to not paint mine too!
edit: I suppose I should clarify that there's about a 0% chance of me putting any more paint on the one I have, and I didn't even finish with the first basecoat.

I mailed my Sophie today, so Anne should get her tomorrow. If I had waited another day and seen this post, I could have saved the cost of postage and brought her out in person.

Hurray! I've got main prepping and assembly done... and I'll need time... time time... hopefully I won't be fighting to be the last to turn one in... but it seems like that's what I'm doing...

I've also put up a full set of pictures in the show off section (with Anne's blessing!). I sent mine today, too. For some reason there's a black hole somewhere between portland and denton, so it won't get there for at least 3 days, I'll bet.
