For five and twenty years have spent,
since last our storm tossed lives did meet.
To cast about our lots in life,
like broken twigs beneath our feet.
Across the bounds of time and space,
my heart longing just to see your face.
But we two are never meant to be,
A tragic fate for you, for me.
So we tread on through life, from day to day.
Not realy alive, nor dead... I'd say.
Our paths do cross from time to time,
but not enough to make you mine.
