For about 16 years I've been working on a SciFi RPG that tries (successfully, I hope) to 'fuse' grand space opera like Star Wars with animé style mecha-SF á la MS Gundam. During the last two years I was finally able to come up with some acceptable artwork for that (well, at least I hope so...). Here are some examples of it - hope you'll enjoy!

BTW: If I stirred your interest, feel free to PM me and ask questions! :;):

Ok, here we go - this one I did for the cover (still working on the text rendered in 3D, so I left it out):

Now, since it's about mecha, here are some samples (quite simple colours). This one is called a MS (MS means "Mechanical Soldier") 0038 H, the backbone of the Imperial Fleet:

This is the Empire's 'heavy hitter' - MS 0032 a+ Alphaplus Xamu (think of a WW2 Tiger Tank on two legs. Still WIP):

During the Triangulum Wars against the Confederacy, the Empire threw in the XMS-001 "Alte Treue" (= Old Faithful"), an Extreme Mechanical Soldier, towering about 150' tall:

Well, someone has to do the repairs, I suppose...

... and someone has to pilot these cuties:

Since it is a SF-RPG, I needed some aliens. I came up with the Inuri... your not-so-typical Space Elf (pointy ears, though...):

I love the Final Fantasy PS2-games, so there definitely had to be airships:

And the last one: SSBCN 'Turtle Bay', a ballistic / MS Carrier submarine, used by the Confederated Earth Alliace:

Hope you like it!

Like the artwork. Specially that heavy hitter.

But, just a word of caution. Lots of the artwork is copies of other games stuff. And if you were planning on going official with it, then you'd have to change them out completely. Especially with the Gundam stuff. Just ask the Classic Battletech players about the headaches they went thru with Gundam.

Thanks for pointing that out, but I changes are already made! :;):
I think it's ok to have some resemblance to certain already existing desings, as long as enough differences are obvious... just have a look at Cosmo Warrior Zero and the starship designs that resemble very much the starships that appeared in Star Blazers. Except for the green MS on the cover (which is a tribute to the venerable Zakus), I've made up the others all by myself. Just tried to stay 'in line' with the art concepts of the genre, though some changes as far as names are concerned might be appropriate! ::):

Very nice artwork, much better than I could ever do. My only criticism is that the arms seem a little small compared to the rest of the mecha.
I'm not so sure I'd want to get hit by a missile with a "dog brain" AI.
