He looks very good, although the pictures are very orange.

I love the color scheme my friend, but I have to say that a simple wash of brown on the gold armor, and a wash of black on the steel would greatly enhance the realism of those metallic surfaces. Turnaround time would be 5 minutes!

The mini looks pretty cleanly painted.

The orange tint in the photos is caused by the type of lighting you are using. It pretty easy to fix. You can either buy daylight balanced compact florescent bulbs (you want the ones that are 5500 or 5600kelvin) or you can change the white balance on your camera. Press the menu button on the back of camera. The second or third option in your shooting settings will be White Balance "WB" set it to either tungsten or incandescent. If you buy the compact florescent bulbs set it to the daylight setting.

Yea I found that red folder is one of the only ways i can get my camera to focus on the minis and as soon as I get a chance Im going to try and get something figured out, The mace Did have a wash on it but I think i missed that after one of my aggravated repaints, the shield and arm are actually brass with a bright green wash witch is completely lost in the photos due to the hue

Pocketcthulhu, were you using the macro setting on your camera? Most digital cameras have a flower symbol button. Pressing this button will activate the macro mode, setting the lens to focus at its minimum focal distance. Also remember that your lens focuses on a flat plane parallel to the frontmost lens element. If you position your mini accordingly you should be able to get the lens to focus on which ever part of the mini you want.

Also just noticed the fallen tree branch at the Gnoll's feet. When ever i try something like that they always end up look like giant twigs.

I was using the macro setting, I am thinking about getting a different camera as mine is giving me fits atm. And I cheated with the branch, that was a left over piece of a log that I didn't want to put on my Lox jarg figure as it would have cause some issues using it on a battle map.

So I stopped at hobby lobby for a couple of things this morning and built a little light box and tried a second time at the gnoll.

also touched up a couple of small spots and added blank ink to his nose/ears/teeth and washed the mace since I forgot to the first time.
