Im going to take the initiative here to make a thread like people have been discussing in the KS trades, for those of us in more foreign locations who need to be a bit more selective in who we can post our trades to without going broke. An international version makes it easier for us crazy foreigners to coordinate and find people close to ourselves so that we dont end up paying more in postage than it would have cost to just get extras of the stuff we want through the KS.

Same style as the other thread. List:
- Your location
- What you want
- What you want to get rid of

And remember to update your post if you make a deal with someone.

Fantastic idea to have a separate thread for the international users, wherever did you get the idea! :;):

Location - Brisbane, Australia.

I'm looking for:

IMEF Marines
Nova
Spiders and Spider piles from the venom set
The wolf in the 30 new bones, (in the vampire picture, it's the first miniature on the second line)

I'm willing to trade pretty much anything else as I'm getting 2 vampire sets so that should cover me for most everything else.

Just a little friendly advice to think about when trying to trade KS items:

There are two types of value; absolute, and relative.
This of course refers to what the item actually costs, as opposed to how much you want it. It is important to remember that everyone has (roughly) the same absolute value for items, but the relative value can vary wildly. Understanding how the person you are trying to trade feels about the relative value of your item and their item is as important as understanding your own valuations.

The easiest and most successful trades are where both sides feel like they've come out ahead.
This relates back to valuation. If both sides can agree on a deal that results in each receiving something they percieve to have a higher relative value, then the trade is likely.

Zero-sum trades rarely work, unless it is convenient for both sides.
When there is nothing to be gained (or lost) in a trade, there is little reason to perform the trade. However, if the two sides are equally apathetic about the items offered for trade, a swap can still happen if it is convenient.

So what does all this mean? Well, let's look at the items from the KS project, from the perspective of a Vampire pledge (since it is the minimum necessary to qualify for the stretch goal items).

Dungeon Attack figures: These are included in the Vampire pledge, but they can also be had for a pledge of $15. Everyone at Vampire gets a set, as do all the Ghast pledges. Plus, they will be (some are already) available in retail. This makes them common, and gives them an absolute value of $15 in the KS. Their relative value is lower, because they are only part of the larger Vampire deal.

30 new figures: These are also included in the Vampire pledge, but can also be had for a pledge of $60. Everyone at Vampire gets a set, as do all the Mummy pledges. Plus, they will be available in retail. This makes them common, and gives them an absolute value of $60 in the KS. Their relative value is lower, because they are only part of the larger Vampire deal.

Sophie/Urban Legend Sophie: Included in the Vampire pledge, but available for $25/28 pledge as well. Everyone at Vampire gets one, as do the Wraith/Ghost pledges. They are only available during the KS project, so this makes them rare. Her absolute value during the KS is $25/$28.

Free add-ons*: Included in all Vampire pledges, but available for purchase at varying amounts (basically, $1/fig, $2/fig if medium sized). They will be available in retail. This makes them common, and gives their absolute value is based directly on their add-on cost. Their relative value is lower, because they are only part of the larger Vampire deal.

Paid add-ons (including adding other pledge levels to the initial pledge): Available to varying pledge levels, all of these items are projected to be available retail as well. They are therefore common, and their absolute value is their pledge cost.

Based on this, you will find it a hard sell to get someone to swap their paid add-ons for your freebie add-ons, as the freebies are also available for purchase. If I really want a second set of Fire It Up and the Undead Horde, it doesn't make much sense for me to buy a Clockwork Dragon and trade it to you for your two sets straight up. It's a great deal for you, but I could just have easily spent the $15 to buy those two sets as add-ons instead. It's a zero-sum deal for me, which only works if it is convenient. If you were in my local game group and I see you often, then yeah, the trade makes more sense. But if you aren't, shipping the dragon to you (and waiting for you to ship the figures to me) is inconvenient. It's little different than trading one paid add-on for another; why would you buy Ebonwrath and ask to trade her for Deathsleet? You wouldn't; you'd just buy Deathsleet at the same price instead. You can find value, however, in trading *parts* of paid sets (i.e. swapping your Rauthuros for someone else's Agramon, etc.).

I made a successful trade earlier this week for someone else's Sophie. To me, the relative value is high; I'm a collector, and I want to have at least one of each sculpt. To the person trading with me, her relative value was lower; he didn't want the figure. In return, I offered a limited edition miniature outside of the KS project, something I had as an extra in my case. As an extra, it had relatively lower value for me; for the trade partner, it was something he did not have and could not easily get, so the relative value was high for him. Both sides come out ahead in relative value, and we're both happy.

Good luck to everyone in their trading. ::):

For you gusy doing trades, keep the above in mind. Also if you want to trade Vampire minis for paid addons, you need to discount your vampire minis at least 60% for a $ to $ trade, and then probably discount 80% for an attractive realistic trade. 240 minis for $100 depreciated your dungeon horde to $4. A reasonable trade might be dungeon attack AND the horde for One of the elementals.

Cheers

All you guys doing trades, please read the above, so that you can calibrate your expectations realistically.

Cheers

Copied this from the standard trade thread as a highlight for here as well.

If they don´t like, it is because they don´t know it.
