In preparation for Halloween, here are the minis I painted this week. 02282, Ghoul Warrior sculpted by Bob Ridolfi and 02941, Ghouls and Ghast sculpted by Ben Siens. I’ve cut the Ghoul Warrior’s arm to meet the needs of the diorama I'm working on now.

I used cork brown as base color for the skin. Then, I applied a flat brown wash and blended some highlights with green gray and dark flesh which in fact are not dark at all. I finished with purple bruises and different tones of flat red mixed with charcoal color for the blood.

I wouldn't freak out at the fear of death from these creatures, but I'd sure wanna puke my guts up by the overgrowth of crotch hair they seem to feature. Like dang.

Well done on the grossness factore sir. Well done.

I think this feature add something to their bestiality and level of grossness. Ben Siens did an awesome job showing this decadent aspect of this monsters along with the creepy eyes and hungry jaws they have.

I'm happy you all like them.

Ben Siens is one of my favorite sculptors. I don't like to rank them because it seems wrong, like ranking composers, but his figures usually capture the figure exactly as I imagine they would look.

These are painted so creepily, great job.

Very nice work and the arm thing was impressive. I am new to the world of minis and I am really enjoying myself so far. I am curious as to your diorama can you tell me what your working on. Myself the goal is to use an old card table and build an entire scene using a few buildings, some water features and some mountains and just go crazy.

Thanks Brian, I'm more then happy to read that you're enjoying the hobby so far. I'm sure you'll find a lot of inspiration and people willing to give you some helpful advises on the forum.

I don't want to give too much clues here cause the diorama I'm working on is supposed to be my Halloween contest entry. If you'd like to see the illustrated step by step Diablo 1 Tristram Cathedral diorama I made some years ago clic here. It may give you some tips for your own diorama.

Welcome to the forum.

@Adrift, I'm sure you will come up with something delightful, or better yet sinister... Anyway, can't wait to see your entry.
