Hello, here is a collection of Greek folk. The Medusa and Cyclops figures are from Reaper, and the Leonidas, Demi-God Hades, and Demi-God Zeus are from Crocodile Games for WarGods of Aegyptus game. Medusa sculpted by Bobby Jackson, Cyclops sculpted by Tim Prow. The Croc figures sculptor(s?) I'm not sure of whom they may be. Hope you enjoy!

One of these days, I'm going to learn to do the things with skin tones that you do, durnit.

That cyclops and the medusa blow my mind. The skin on the cyclops, especially. I have that mini, and I'd never have believed he could look that awesome.

Buglips, that is just epic, and so very wrong.

Medusa is hot! Er.. I mean well painted.

Does the cyclops have two eyes? Looks fantastic otherwise.

Medusa looks fantastic! I really like the reptilian look you've given to the flesh on her arms and breasts, which looks far more organic than just a woman's torso on a snake's body. I'd love to see her face painted the same way.

They all look great but the medusa stand out. Her skin tone is excellent and her eyes are really well done. I like Leonidas helmet.

If I remember right, those colors are close-ish to what medusa looked like in the remake Clash of the Titans - which I relabelled in my movie collection as "Medusa, Hell Yeah!".

Because when I sat down to watch it, I was like: boring, boring, stupid, boring, don't care, boring, boring, yawn, zzzz, MEDUSA HOLY CRAP, Medusa over, rewind, MEDUSA HOLY CRAP, Medusa over, rewind, MEDUSA HOLY CRAP.

So while I give Clash of the Titans remake negative 5 stars, the ten-minute short film Medusa, Hell Yeah! hidden inside of it gets 20 bramillion thumbs up.

I haven't actually seen the remake. I'm a hard-core Harryhausen fan and I can't see how digital animation can possibly be an improvement over his hand-made monster models and awesome stop-action photography.

All very nice. I like the monsters best personally. That took lots of work!

I am also a Harryhausen fan. Stop motion is the best! Also, when you think about it, the cyclops in 7th Voyage of Sinbad is totally the victim. I mean, an evil wizard breaks into his house to rob him and then escapes. Then goes off to find more men who come back and try to rob the Cyclops. And then, when he tries to defend himself from home invasion, he gets a torch in the face, blinded, and tricked into killing himself off a cliff. When his friend goes to avenge his wrongful murder, then he gets a dragon sicced on him.

It ain't right. Cyclops was just minding his own business on his island.

Anyway, it's not the CGI that ruins the remake (Medusa's a poster monster for how to do it right), it's everything else. It's so bad that all I remember is some stupid scorpion crap and how awesome Medusa is. The rest I've blotted out.

Thanks everyone! ::): I loved painting the monsters in particular. For the Medusa I was looking at how she's been depicted in various forms, I also love Harryhausen's work. I was also looking at a painting of Medusa by Caravaggio, I was tempted to go full reptile with her too but tried in the end for a half/half version, using similar colors as the body but smoother more human texture.

Sorry the eye is a bit confusing looking on the Cyclops, I was debating where secondary highlights would be with one eye and decided to cover both bases haha! Maybe he has allergies or something and is tearing up, it is a huge eye! ::D:

I agree the remake of Clash of the Titans wasn't too hot. I was also watching Immortals while working on these, which was interesting visually and also Mickey Rourke was awesome in it.. but I digress.

Heya Anne!!! Long time no see!

You always impressed me with your painting before but wow...stunning. I can't really find much to critique here, so just keep painting so I can keep drooling over them!

Very nice minis. Hopefully I can eventually get to that level hehe. I had the same reaction as others for the cyclops, however; it took a little concentration to actually see it as one eye.

I love the shading and use of light-sources on them, by the way.

Wow the Medusa's facial expression is great, love all the details there.
The Cyclops, just quickly looking at the small photo, looks like it has 2 eyes. Upon closer inspection, the brown eye imho matches to well with its skin tones making this happen. The detail is superb, but i think it may benefit by changing the color of its iris.
