So I was really excited after the Kickstarter ended .. so I picked up the only Bones mini I could find!

Please be kind I haven't even been painting for a year yet .. so i am still learning.

Please excuse his unfinished base too. :)

I have to say I am even MORE excited to get all the Kickstarter figures now.

Okie!

I worked on finishing the base today and snapped a couple of different images. :)

I think my biggest challenge is still highlighting.

I welcome notes :)

Welcome!

It's tough to resolve some of your work due to the picture, and the base. I'd love to see you paint the base and then repost!

Looking at it, he looks good. If he's for gaming. may I suggest some brighter highlights? It's hard to tell but it looks like you've gone dark enough on the shadows, but to make him stand out at a distance he could use brighter highlights.

Naturally, he died because a wizard exploded.

It looks pretty good, j3nz, but like Adrift mentioned, it's a bit tough to make out against that background. When you post the finished pictures, try photographing the model against a white background, like a sheet of paper, then crop the image to the figure. Then we'll be better able to appreciate the awesomeness of your paint job.
