Upon learning that Galahad Heresy had some of these, I promptly engaged in negotiations to acquire them and add them to my paint horde.

They're being triaged now, and this pic was after the first run through. Most are still in good condition.

However, I noticed a slight . . . er . . . "imbalance". On the left bookcase are my completed minis. ALL of them. On the right is my paint for the minis. So really, I guess you could say I collect paint more than anything else.

Anyway, the good news is that at least I don't have a shortage of colours.

I still have a fair number - edit, 18 bottles - of Partha paints, about a dozen from one of their Battletech sets and the rest from their official D&D sets. After twenty-plus years, they're still in great shape and I still use them. Assuming the caps have been kept on tight and they haven't dried up completely, it's damned hard to kill those things.
I'd love to find more of them, but the last ones I got were a couple years back when I pointed out to the owner of my local FLGS that most of the two-dozen-or-so jars of old Partha and Armory paint still in the abandoned paint rack built into the front of his shop counter had dried out and bought the dozen-and-a-half still-functional bottles off of him fairly cheaply.

No battletech colours in this batch, and none of the really popular ones like drow flesh, bulette blue, etc. No black or white, even. It's leftover store stock, so mostly slow movers.

Which is good for me, actually. Guts Pink is almost exactly the same as my Reaper Pro Paint Fairy Blush that I was watching dwindle with considerable angst. Now I have enough to last me forever. Lots of pale yellows and greens. Good mix of second-tier colours I needed desperately.

As for where I live, I pay kobolds to trap my home. Enter at your own risk. Hell, if any of you survive long enough to touch - just touch - the partha paint I'll let you have it and leave with your lives.

Congratulations on your paint find, Buglips.

The photo of your paint shelves next to your mini shelf is interesting, I have to say. I didn't count, but it looks like your paints outnumber your painted minis by an order of magnitude.

Of course, I'm willing to bet you have some unpainted minis lying around as well, which probably changes the ratio.

he also got a swank new paint display rack as well, which looking at his amassed horde isn't nearly big enough by the looks of it LOL, but it;ll make a good semi-portable workstation.

It's big enough to hold all the parthas, and that's as big as it needs to be. Reaper pots won't fit anyway.

I wanted one of the old pro paint racks, and diligently saved all my swag points - and then when I went to get one they were gone.

What a tease.

I actually have one pot of Partha that had lurked on the shelves of my FLGS forever. It's Mist Glow White, essentially a clear glow-in-the-dark paint. I've typically used it on my GRW/Deadlands undead just for giggles.
