I was actually going to put WiP in the title, but, derp.

I decided that I was going to get back into painting by doing 2 things.
1: Finish a mini in 1 sitting, no matter how bad it turns out.
2: Paint a mini as well as I can in less than a month and enter it in a contest so I have a deadline and a goal.

Here's the start





So far I've base coated everything but the hair. Tanned Skin (Shadow), Blackened Brown, Scorched Metal, Adamantium Black, Sample Purple (pretty close to purple liner), Bloodstain Red.
The Skin will be tan, Deep Brown for the leathers, Copper-y for the metal bits, Bloody red for the scarf and all the belt bits, purple shirt & pants.

The thing that so far has made me most happy is that I can still do eyes.

Did you start the eyes with a light or dark color as the base? Dark and do white dots, or white and fill in the pupil?

What did you use for a base? I can see a square but everything I can ID?

those eyes are fantastic... mine are crap... the minis' eyes i paint are bad too... i cant wait to get better

I do the eye socket with the Sample Purple (Purple Liner-ish) then a very very slightly blue white (it's the only MSP I don't use, Snow White craft acrylic with MSP Flow Improver), and then in this case Walnut Brown for the pupil.

The mini is still on her broccoli base and glued to a 1in square slotta base (the kind with the little lip around the edge). Then I green stuffed up to the level of the broccoli and smoothed the edges so it was one giant square. I'll flock and such when it's done being painted.

So this totally didn't get done in time for the contest but whatever. :)
I did finish her this weekend along with 5.75 other minis. As soon as I get home I'll post photos.
