The picture is kind of fuzzy but this is a recent reaper mini I have completed.

Are those arrows sticking in the minotaur's hide? Interesting touch to convey just how tough this guy is, that he's still going. :D

Yes I made sure to make him look as tough as nails. I'm surprised at how much detail is in this plastic mini.

I think that would be a good figure, if we could see it.

I suggest moving the camera back a little more from the mini so comes into focus better.

I'd love to see a more side on shot as well, the model is sitting on my bench and I know some of the places it needs work are not really visible with the angle of this picture.

Yes pull the camera back and make sure the camera is resting on a solid surface.

If you can't rest the camera on a solid surface, hold it as steady as you can and do off a pile of shots. I have to do it that way when I take pics of my minis, and for every picture I post there's 40-50 of the same shot that didn't make the cut.

Talking to the miniature inspirationally while you photograph is optional, but I find it makes them feel relaxed and able to give me the good stuff. Yeah, baby. You're a tiger, rawr! Show me that look, show it to me! Who's a star?

Buglips, that is just epic, and so very wrong.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

Much better, but if your camera has a timer function you should use it, no matter how steady you think your hands are you'll still get a blurred photo. Basically you want the lowers ISO value you camera will allow and as much light as possible, this means the shutter speed will be quite slow and any movement at all will make the shot blurred.

If you have a tripod that would work well otherwise just put the camera on a pile of books and use the timer.

The paint job looks really good which is why we want really clear photos to appreciate!

This story shall the good man teach his son;
That the 25th of August shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that pledges his cash with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And foolish men playing with thier Space Marines
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their painting cheap while any speaks
That pledged with us upon Reaper's Kickstarter day.

I was looking at the youtube video and it takes some time. I used a 100 ISO value my camera has a max 400 ISO and I used a 5 sec timer and the picture is a bit better.
