Maybe I'm just missing them, but does Reaper do Classically themed minis? You know Greek phalanxes, Roman legions, German and Celtic hordes, Parthians etc.?

You may find a few ancient heroes in the catalog, but for the most part, Reaper is fantasy. Historicals are covered by many other companies.

There was a line of 20mm Japanese samurai, called Daimyo. It's now owned by GFI Minifigs which is unfortunately in Limbo at this time. However there are lots of other sources for these figures still out there. It won an Origins Award for best historical minis line back in 2003 or so.

They have a Greek soldier with dipylon shield, spears and sword. They have not-Maximus from "Gladiator" in Gladiator garb. They have Hercules and Perseus. They have some vikings. The Anhurians work well as Normans/Middle Ages men-at-arms. That's all I can think of off the top of my head

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

Alright. Thanks for the feedback.

Maybe when Pinnacle releases Weird Wars: Rome we'll see some more from Reaper (they usually do Savage Worlds minis).
