I like the way this figurine turned out but Im stumped on what to do for a cool idea for the base design..any suggestions ?!?!

ooh, very nice. Perhaps a white Marble effect on the base (just don't ask me how you'd actually go about doing that!)

Marble effect...Maybe like ragging a wall with a semi-tranparent glaze. Base coat grey, take a thinned ink wash black, brushed in streaks, and then a white wash "ragged" on with a damp cloth?

Or cheat. Cut him loose from the base and go buy a marble sample from a home improvement establishment and glue him to that.

I like the look of the back piece. It looks "worn" but "cared for" / "maintained".

I think a tile pavement of colorful stones would also be a nice idea.

The marble idea is appealing. I recall a few tutorials about that process.
