Hello, I hope I'm posting this in the right category.. apologies if I'm not.
I've been on a bit of a Dwarven mini buying binge lately, and am curious who is your favorite Dwarf mini? I'm working on Ursula Silverbraid at the moment, and totally love her! She was an awesome gift and sort of set this snowball in motion.. I've also been reading through Markus Heitz's Dwarves series of books which is inspiring too.

Tough one. My favorite Dwarf range is the Chronopia Dwarves from the nineties, 'cause that's my first love tabletop game.

That being said, Werner's sculpts for the Warlord Range from Reaper have upped the ante in skill.

You want me to reduce this to just one model? That may be impossible for me.

Cool I'll check them out! Yeah I knew when I was typing favorite 'one' it would be a difficult thing, possibly impossible thing to narrow down. ::):

My brother also read Markus Heitz Dwarves books and he really enjoyed it.

Ursula looks like she wears duck paw boots and her axe is much too big for my taste.
I think my personal favourite one would be Gris Knotslip. I also like Durgam Deepmug and Durin.

If you like Dwarves, look at The Hobbit preview coming up next December.

Honestly, I'm not much of a fan of dwarven minis, especially ones without necks (I'll let you figure out which companies that pretty much eliminates).

By name alone? Bragg Ironballs wins, hands down.

Sculpt? That's much tougher. The Warlord dwarves, as a whole, are pretty decent. I love Skadi, but that's probably cheating, since she's not technically a dwarf, right? I really like the Valkyrie and Miner sculpts (Kragmarr and Aizen Krahl factions, respectively), and Logrim is probably the awesomest dwarf with a two-handed sword ever (yes, I said awesomest), but I think the 14515 version of the Daughter of Skadi gets my vote for favorite, because it is so dynamic.

I've always really liked this guy:

But, I have to admit, being quite mischievous, I've painted the guy on the left a couple times in a couple different ways to freak my players out:

I have a soft spot for dwarves, so I like many sculpts from different manufacturers. But these are my favorite Reapers.

My favorite would have to be Chronoscope #50013 - Willy Brassbender: http://www.reapermin.../sku-down/50013

I mean, he has a MINI-GATLING GUN! All right, if we're supposed to stick to *fantasy*, it would be Warlord #14042 - Thorgram, Dwarf Warlord: http://www.reapermin.../sku-down/14042

There's just so much going on with that miniature that begs to be painted in detail!

I can't get it down to just one but I can get it down to one male and one female:

::): I totally agree Shakandara, Skadi is awesome! I wonder if there are plans to make more dwarven gods or goddesses in the future?
I'm planning on getting some bear riders for my growing legion. Thorvald is very cool too in all his various incarnations. I'm also liking Herryk Aesir and Orin Ramhelm as well. Ursula's coming along :) I've also been playing around with Gwyddis Dwarf Valkyrie, I converted one of her maces to a scepter so far.

Incidentally, Mantic's Warpath features a nice bunch of space dwarves, of which I am fond:

I recently got this guy. Haven't assembled him yet, but I already really like him:

03386: Thorvald, Dwarf Hero ($6.99)
Werner Klocke

Is my favorite, painting him now. I love the axe, armor and "feel" of him!

I like Kara Foehunter (14143) from Reaper, Grimdalf from Hasselfree, Hjordisa Ymirsdottir from Reb Box Games and I'm pretty much a "yes" for Dwarf Tales, though they are quite large dwarves (which is OK because I wanted a tall dwarf at the time).

60004: Harsk, Iconic Male Dwarf Ranger is my all time favorite. I just love him, he's so dynamic. I've got him in an active game representing an insane demon hunting slightly addled dwarven barbarian. I love his full tilt charge, with the one leg behind him. I based him out so he looks like he's running through hell over lava pools in search of his next demonic victim (which are mostly in his head.).
