Really, I feel we have done our job if every non-backer can find ONE Bones mini they would buy after the KS is over. I *hope* that we have already included enough good value that all Backers are already happy.

I will be very happy when this ends and I can sleep without the ticker next to my pillow set to wake me 25% toward goal so i can be awake in time to post updates.

But then, I'm selfish and like my sleep.

I'm not complaining about the lack of sleep. Ok, a bit.

This has been an amazing project so far, and I have been floored with the response. We planned for a good response in case it happened, but I wasn't personally expecting to be this close to a million this early. To be honest, when this launched I was hoping like mad to just make it to the crypt so we didn't look dumb!

Well, all I can say is that with everything I've seen so far I'm digging around to find an additional 100 to pledge just because there's so much I want. It's too cruel to have to choose.

Too cruel by half.

Bryan did warn us about the perils of speculation.

So, Girlbreath-the-speculator got his hopes up for something, and Reaper failed to read his mind, but instead followed their business plan. Hm, sounds like exactly this -

We won't forbid speculation, but be aware that we have a plan mapped out, and speculation can be disheartnening if you get too excited about something that's not on our plan.

I can;t be sad for anybody that they're getting more bonus loots added to the pile.

FIRST: Wyrm, stop hassling the man, he has a right to his opinion.

No, I know it's there...but gaining the privilege to spend a little less than retail to buy something extra doesn't really say 'bonus given to loyal contributors' to me.

It sounded like the $20-$30 retail price tag was in reference to the Deathsleet / Ebonwrath scale dragons. The dracolich looks a good bit larger than those.

I would be surprised if it went for more than $50 retail, more likely $35-$45. Of course, for all I know they could charge more but still, it's a discount, it's nice...but it doesn't really feel like a reward. Not to sound like a mercenary bastard or anything, but this is where they're making their money. Buying it is doing them a favor (which, fo course they deserve. We want to support them after all), that;s not a reward. A reward is them doing us a favor, like giving us something besides tables and chairs for getting over a million bucks worth of backing.

But that's me. I like to gripe. The dragon is cool, I may even get one but as far as the *actual* reard goes, I was underwhelmed.

Hey, I like gripe too. Read my FB some day,I am one complaining SOB.

Still, I'm going to have reiterate that we cannot please 100% of our backers at every level. Even on day one not everybody liked the initial 30 figures, and for the last month I've had to read through people complaining about this model of 4 or that model of 6 etc. We're trying to appeal to a zillion gamers, and no two gamers have ever liked the same exact thing. Ever.

I respect your right to not like them. I ask that you please respect our efforts in trying to create a product line that has enough variety to offer one or more figures that please every person, if not all figures pleasing every person.

Thank you, sir for your respectful response. If only some of the members of your community followed in your example.
Seriously, guys, I SAID I liked them, I just felt let down was all.

It's not the content that bothers me so much. It's a fine addition to the bundle and I get that there's people who want set pieces. I already said I always had a fascination for them and still use my old heroquest pieces. I'll certainly make good use of these and I'm glad they;re in the set.

I'm just saying that for the *level* of the bonus, it seemed like a letdown.

Tables and chairs are cool, but would have been better received (at least by me) at a lower level. When you see huge pledge levels, you naturally expect to see huge rewards.

The dungeon decor is cool, but it;s not huge, it;s not what you expect at that level.

To recap:
I LIKE THE BONUS
I will USE IT
I understand the point of the drive is to increase the line and that means everything, even stuff people may not use or like everything.
I'm GLAD IT'S THERE
I'm happy to see furniture, just wish it had been at a lower levels so the big unlocks could be knock your socks off big, not just "Well, it'll be good to have a table."

All I'm trying to say is that, personally, it felt like a letdown after staring at that gleaming golden horde all month.
Was anyone expecting or hoping for five bits of furnishing to be the sum total of the giant golden treasure pile for passing the 1 million mark?
I was expecting something more like the chronoscope or pathfinder unlock. Some large batch of beautiful new models.

Tables and chairs are fine and frankly I'll probably get more use from them than most of the stuff in the bundle.
It just left me flat is all. It's like getting socks and underwear for christmas. Useful, good to have, especially if you;re not paying for it...but not what you were hoping to find under the tree.

That's all I'm trying to say. If the fanboys want to shout me down and ignore what I'm actually saying, that's fine.

On the plus side when you are swallowed by a dracolich you just fall back on the floor through the gaping hole in its chest. Way better than being swallowed by a living dragon.

Put me in the happy-to-see-furniture camp. That kind of stuff will see 100x more table time in my games than the big dracolich, which honestly I would probably use only once or twice... (not saying its not completely AWESOME tho)

I better get, like, a teeny tiny muppet baby or fraggle toy in that happy meal or I won't be very happy!
