Because sometimes your steampunk Romans need a clockwork dragonfly automaton, especially one with twin greek-fire nozzles and an internal clockwork ballista.

Parts list:
-Handle from a kids' squeaky hammer toy.
-zip-ties
-drywall anchor
plastic knives
-contact lens holder
-VCR rewind motor
-contacts from a parallel cable
-headphone jack
-pewter spider legs

Amazing! I still can't fathom how you come up with this stuff. Great job! This is probably my favorite thing you have ever shown here.

Brilliant and very original work. I like the plastic knives idea for the wings.
And, the paint job is really nice too.

I could just cry, this is so much better than I'd imagined. :D Good grief, I love that the dragonfly head even has the scrub-brush top (not sure what that's supposed to be called) and the "cheek-guards" to evoke the look of a Roman helmet. The red panels offset with the bronze ribs look spectacular, and those WINGS! Dragonflies + steampunkery = awesomeness. You keep inspiring me to look at random junk and imagine what sort of contraptions, spaceships, creatures, etc., might be hiding inside, with just a bit of cutting and shaping, putty and paint. So, when does the resin kit come out? ;)

Outstanding work. I might even go so far as to say you've outdone yourself on this one.

I'm not so sure I'd want to get hit by a missile with a "dog brain" AI.

Wow! Incredibly inventive use of materials! That's really inspiring, my first thought was whoa, how'd he do the wings? Great use of materials! A praying mantis was hanging out in my window this morning, a clockwork mantis would be pretty awesome too, perhaps a friend for Dragonfly? They could be like the mantis of Clockwork Carthage peeking over the mountains ::D:
I'll fight it, but I won't kill it. Now, what about my dynamite?

Sweet! I want one IRL. Very well done.

Some tales are better left for the light of day.
