I have been away for awhile and am happy to be back. (No, I wasn't in jail.)
I'm a slow (methodical!) painter and have been starting to think of ideas for the Halloween 2012 contest. It's only 3 months away and at my pace I might get something done by then.
This topic is just to get people thinking about it and inspire/motivate me to help me manage my time better so I can get in some recreational painting.
I'm probably going to paint the Undead Troll by Ben Siens but that wraith is cool too. Zombies, succubi, hot vampire ladies... so many options.

What is the Halloween contest? Just a painting contest or specifically horror?

Yes, it's a forum contest and I don't recall if there are prizes. People post pics by a certain date and they are open to voting.
The painted figures have to be Reaper and the theme has to be Halloween, spooky, undead, anything along those lines.
People do dioramas too.

I'm good for prizes. Look back in the contest thread for old guidelines and prizes. I doubt much will change with a future contest.

Since posting this topic about 12 days ago I have done nothing to prepare for the Halloween contest. I really need to improve my recreation time schedule.
So to get things moving I will commit to finishing Lamaan the sorcerer and maybe adding a mummy to make a little Halloween diorama.
Now that it's out there, I might actually get something done.

So I just spent $600+ on the Kickstarter, I just (like just now processed the payment) ordered another $30, purchased $100 in minis from eBay over the weekend.... and still have NOTHING to paint for this contest that I just found out about. Darn..... more shopping for minis. 
I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party.
