Any Reaper fan will know of Tre Manor, and the wonderful sculpts he does for Reaper. He also has his own range of models, called Red Box Games.

The models are smaller than the heroic scale stuff out there, and sized exactly to the 28mm scale that Kev White over at Hasslefree does.

His Kickstarter is to retool his range to a new space age plastic, as metal is too much for what he wants to accomplish.

Throw him a bone.

If this is deemed inappropriate by the mods, no worries. I just fired this off in my excitement to support one of our own.

Quality ventures of this sort require funding and deserve encouragement. Plus, it'd be nice to paint something other than naked chicks for a change. I'm in!

I'm out. I politely told Tre I wouldn't participate in this plastic stuff, and ordered more metal than I should have before it's discontinued. Big order. I'm happy to support Tre, and have since he launched, but I'm old and set in my ways. I haven't even bought Reaper's Bones models.

I hope enough people are into affordable models with the insane detail of metal, only in plastic/resin material that Tre becomes rich. I kinda want to see him crash and burn one day on TMZ. :zombie:

This is exactly the type of thing I wished for in a beekeepers post. Sadly I cannot contribute more than moral support and best wishes at this time.

I hope he does some stuff that can proxy for space marines as I will not be giving GW another penny.

Lastman, have you looked into Mantic's Kings of War/Warpath games? Love their stuff. Very close to Warhammer stuff (perfect proxies), super affordable, and great sculpts for the price. I'm having a lot of fun with it right now! Going to be promoting it at upcoming conventions.

Meanwhile, I got a couple emails saying Tre had already reached that preliminary goal!

Myself, I do prefer metal, but I've gotten myself used to plastic, now. I hope with everything I've got that metal never goes away completely, but right now I'm very happy to be up to my armpits in both.

So I was just checking out Tre's Kickstarter, and was thrilled with how many names from this forum I recognized on the supporters tab!

I wanted to hop over here and say thanks to all of you who are helping promote the growth of the hobby! Tre has been a staple of Reaper since 2007, and I know Reaper is thrilled to see him doing so well and getting not just recognition, but success!

I noticed that someone named "Reaper Miniatures" is busy backing it as well :)

I'm really hoping Tre's work picks up more pledges, though it might be tougher now he is competing with Reaper (though you are both getting my precious $$).

Thanks for starting this thread or else I wouldn't have known this was happening!

Tre was one of the many friendly people I met at ReaperCon PLUS he is a great artist. I'm happy that I can support great people doing great work.

Gotta spread the love for the Reaper community.

Well, supporting this is a no brainer. Tre does some of the best evil barbarians in the business -- those HelsVakt Hordesmen make the GW Chaos Marauders look like cartoon characters in comparison.

Oh and funding went through today for the $25k stretch, so Yrsa and her dire wolf Fenris are options now.

Tre also added the concept art for the (first?) KS exclusive miniature Svetlana - you have to order her at $8 and can order as many as you want!
