Would I love to get an EU office for European fulfillment? You bet!

I asked because Rockstar Games managed to get a deal going last year, where customs was added to the shipping cost. And it was nice not having to pony up the extra cash when the post man came around (I just had to get those Red Dead Redemption playing cards for my Deadlands game).
And you really should get an EU office.

I have. Often. I've already told Ed that I'll be first in line to move to Europe.

Do you really believe Ed is going to let his IT guru move to Europe? It's a great idea, but I don't see Ed & Dave ever letting you escape from Reaper HQ.I have. Often. I've already told Ed that I'll be first in line to move to Europe.

I got it all figgered out. I can do everything I need to do remotely.

I've heard all kinds of different stories about orders from Reaper that were shipped to Europe. I live in the Netherlands, and I'm thinking about buying the current Bones kickstarter "Vampire" deal.
The thing is, I've read about someone's order from Reaper never getting delivered because it was stopped by customs. I've also read that people had no trouble at all.
I just want to be sure that when I order, the shipment will get through, and if it should get stopped at customs, how much that would cost me extra.
Is there anyone who can point me in a direction to find out about this? Experiences with Dutch orders?
Thanks! I hope I can become a backer too!
Sjeng.

Figures out any fees which you may need to pay on your end of things based on the order's value and what not. Also, there is this from the FAQ:

Not sure one what the chances are that a package will get hung up in customs though for you. Most of the time it goes smoothly, however like everything else - sometimes there is a snag along the way. I can't imagine it not making it to you though - it just might have to sit on a shelf for an extra couple days as a functionary decides when to stamp it and send it through.

Well, for a $100,- Vampire pledge plus $25,- shipping, that would equal €101,30 over which 19% VAT will be calculated = €19,25. Then the post office will calculate €12,50 handling costs, totalling in €133,05 ($164,17) maximum.
That kinda sucks... I'm going to have to pay 64% more just because I live in Europe. I wish Reaper had an office in Europe. But I'm still tempted though, those mini's are simply awesome. I guess I'll have to try and sell some mini's off to earn some money back, if that's allowed, that is... I'll wait a few more days and see what gets added to the vampire level ;) gogo pledgers!
I simply love Reaper's sculpts so it's really still worth it.
Thanks again Bob!

Seriously though, I think by the time this thing is done - even with all the customs and other fees that they like to tack onto things over there you will still be down to a dollar per miniature or less. At that point, it really becomes hard to pass up.

You're going to have to explain that to me, because I don't understand. How would that work? Would extra miniatures do, or the storage case (which looks super)? :ONot only that, if you buy a bunch of the extras with your Vampire, they don't get declared, thus not taxed, dutied or counted.
