Like Casiatta, I was inspired by the Diablo 3 artbook when painting this knight. I really liked some of the angels and decided to paint him in a similar fashion. I considered giving him a white cloak, but it just seemed like going dark with it seem right, so I went blue-black. I think it goes well with the gold. The armor and weapon were painted with the same mixture of non metallic and metallic paint. Thanks for looking!

Very nice use of the colors. The gold highlights really enhance the blue-black background.

Nice and interesting painting technique. Your NMM almost looks like OSL, I like that.

The use of the colors you chose make this mini stand out. I would be proud to have this mini on the table or on display. Great Job.

Really good, again, great NMM, with such a dark figure it would be great contrast to pick one element, even small (maybe something on the base?) to go super light, just to give it some balance. Just my 2 cents...

Hey Vicky! I remember seeing this when you posted it to Reaper's Facebook page. I love it. Great work on the subtle red effect on the armor.

I think the dark and ancient colors work well...I say ancient cause the metal looks tarnished or jus treally old...lol Very clean and nicely done !!

Cerebro -- I was thinking of doing a lava style base initially. I think you may be right, it would have given some brightness to an otherwise very dark color scheme. They say you should always go with your first instinct, and I guess I should have. :)
