Here's what's on my painting table this weekend. This is the boxed set of 8 pirates that was available at Reapercon, plus Angelica Fairweather and the Mockingbeast, which somehow just seemed appropriate.

The goal is to finish them, or a good portion of them by Monday. So far, I've got skin tones down on about half of them.

Got some sand on bases and a little more paint down. Family has just arrived for the holiday so it will be Friday before I can pick up a brush again.

Now I will just have to live through you, I will be following with rapt attention.
BTW, Reaper, if you are listening, I wouldn't mind if a few of these got turned in 54mm versions, they would look great in a dio I am building. Just sayin

This is how they looked last night at 7pm when I got too tired to continue.
The Daughter of Sehkmet just jumped in and demanded to be painted, too.

This is where I was last night at 9pm when my eyes gave out. I decided to spend Saturday concentrating on just a few figures, in hopes of getting one or two to completion. The elf archer distracted me and got a basecoat, too.
The big fellow with the harpoon is nearly done, I will get him finished today. The MockingBeast is the next one nearest being done.

I got very little done Sunday, but I did finish the harpoon guy and the Daughter of Sehkmet.
I spent a lot of time on the sailor on the far left. It got to the ugly stage and then got uglier. I almost never give up on a mini but this one might just end up in the stripper. The more definition I tried to get on the skin (golden triad) the chalkier it got, so I put an ink wash down and that was a big mistake. Likewise I tried adding shadow to the clothing and it just looked like crap, so I tried a wash to help bring it down some and now it looks like I need remedial painting class. I think I an going to try and redo the skin, darken the pants and try a different color shirt and see if that works. Basically, start over.
