Figures by Warlord Games, converted and painted by me.

In David Drake's book "Ranks of Bronze", he postulates that Crassus's defeated legion was sold into slavery to alien traders, who used them for interstellar disputes where the native tech level did not exceed that of Rome.

I figure they made it back to Earth by 188--, in time to contest the Martian Punitive Expedition and adapted to the current steam and clockwork technology.

Also, if anyone knows where my camera is, I'd love to hear it. I took this using my phone.

I would speculate I spent fewer than 10 minutes total per figure.

That's a closeup of one of their clockwork pilium-chuckers.

Fewer than 10 minutes per figure... you must be one of those Japanese robots.

Recent article said they are unbeatable at rock-paper-scissors because of their high speed vision and reaction time.

Everything is just basecoat and ink. Every figure got paint slopped on it in approximately the right place, in batch, in sequence. The shields are decals, and I did not paint the eyes.

As a result, I got this finished in a matter of days, rather than weeks.

Here are the cavalry and Scorpion battery. I'd say the army is definitely playable now.

Those are great and definitely the most completed figures.
