I hereby challenge my fellow painters to a contest of will. How many figures can you paint over the long Independence Day weekend? (For those of you outside the USA this will be July 4-8)

The rules are simple: from now until midnight July 3 you can prep and prime any figures, or select partially painted but as-yet incomplete figures. At 12:01am July 4th you may begin painting. WIP posts and photos are encouraged. The week of July 9-15 you must post photos of what you painted and completed.

Figures from any manufacturer are eligible. Painters from outside the US should feel welcome to join in, even though it may not be a holiday weekend for you.

Show us your stuff! I dare you. :)

I'm in! Sounds fun! Especially since we can't shoot off fireworks here due to the drought.

Heh. I want to join but I know with family in town it would be zero. If there weren't around I might be able to pull off .5 :upside:

Without knowing my schedule, I can't really commit, but I do have 42 steampunk Romans to get fieldable.

I'm in. I've already got the figure prepped too. I think this one will be a good paint up so the rest of you can just quit now.

I see Jay's scored some early points with smack talk already. :)

I have 10 figures prepped. I'm feeling ambitious.

I had less time than I thought to paint but did OK and hopefully today I can get a little more before the challenge finishes. I have not decided on base material yet so flocking will not appear (for awhile) but I have two zombies done. I have puppies sleeping on me at present so I can't paint right now...... no they just woke up so it is time to get off the computer.

I followed Froggy's lead and posted to Show Off. I am very happy with what I got done and I hope to keep going through the month as I am trying to finish some for the July Roll Call as well.
