Hello all,
While gaming tonight I was looking at the back of my Thorvald mini, I noticed that there is a square hole in his back, I looked in the mini's pict/boneyard there's only the fig and his ax shown as the only pieces for him. What is missing? I didn't get anything else but it looks like there's a part missing like a shield or something... Thanks for the help guys.

I'm pretty sure It's a recess between the arms/legs of the former owner of the hide/fur cloak; I believe it is just coincidence that the shape of the recess looks alot like a square opening in the back of the miniature.

Yep...what Michael said. If you look closely, you may notice that the scales from the scale armor that are underneath the fur show up in the recess here.
