I'm not entirely pleased with how she turned out, but I still rather like it. :) Mainly the paint I used for the skin tone was bad. As soon as my money frees up I'm going to invest in some better paint.

Any advice is welcome. :) Just know I am fully aware this this is a very noobish paint job. :P

How did you do the robe? It looks like a black wash over raw metal or maybe silver paint. I think you could have brought out more detail by laying down a color -- say blue-- and putting a less heavy wash over that.

Also, I don't think her staff is supposed to be that bent, it looks like it got mashed in the package.

I like the spooky effect with the dark eyes, though.

Alright so.... I fixed the staff for one, second the robes are actually a dark blue with an even darker blue in some areas and a Pearl White dry brush. The color scheme just didn't agree well with the background and the lighting. May try a few different ways to light it and maybe a different background.

I like the colours you've used for this one, with the eye-catching blue coming back into the cristal ball, the staff, her lips and the bookcover.

I just wondered if you basecoated the model before painting?
If you use a basecoat first, you will automatically hide the real metal under the final paintjob which will avoid a lot of light-refletion when taking the pictures.
These days I often just basecoat with the regular paint of my bottle / pot... and it works just aswell I think (living in an appartement isn't easy to spray paint ;) )

I like the color selection; the bright blue really draws attention to her face and to the crystal balls. Keep it up!

Welcome back. Your photo's are looking much better. The colors are nice, like the blues (though I think you should look at ways to add some lower down on the figure as people's gaze is only going to look at the top 1/3rd of your paint job) work really well against the blacks and silvers.

I'm with Inarah and Buckland as this looks very metallic. It's a cool effect if done on purpose.

I think my biggest complaint is that the base looks bland compared to everything else as it doesn't look like it really got painted.

One thing you'll want to try doing to improve your skills is not always relying on dry brushing for highlights on things like the robes and such. Dry brushing works well when there's a pattern (bumpy skin or fur) or when you want something to look like metal (weapons) but you should try using regular painting methods to bring up the highlights now.
