ok, i did a search but couldn't see anything, but i'm experienceing something a bit odd, i have one single MSP cracking, 09133 Bloodstain Red to be specific, has anyone else had a similar issue with this or any other of the MSP line? or could the paint have gone bad in some way?

It's cracking over primer and different shades of MSP, and this is a fairly recent thing to happen, i used it last week and it was fine, all my other MSPs are fine.

IIRC that one is fairly thick. Are you putting it on straight, or thinning it? Paint often cracks if it dries faster than the layer under it. Is your primer dry? Likewise, if you put it on too thick, the outer surface will crack as it dries while the under layer is still wet. Are you painting near a fan or an AC vent? Air blowing on the model can cause the paint to dry too fast.

I just bought a bottle of bloodstain red. It's been working great for me. So it might be your working environment.

Crackling paint issues seem to pop up periodically here. The culprit is usually attributed to a few possibilities: primer that hasn't dried completely or dries too hard/slick (Krylon mentioned) or paint that is applied too thick or thin over said primer.

There's a thread specifically for Bloodstain which seems to be too much thinning as the problem: http://www.reapermin...rackling paint

Take care,
Laszlo

Bloodstain is a tempramental... Oh PG13 right. Anywho to fix. Fill the cracks with GW's liquid green stuff if it is a non important gaming fig. (It's just really thick paint that can fill small cracks and holes.) Or strip it and start over.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?
