Finally played the last game of the Day One campaign included in Klingon Armada.

Pics and commentary here...

I'm not so sure I'd want to get hit by a missile with a "dog brain" AI.

My original intent was to use Tomorrow's War, bought it, and think it'll be a bit beyond my usual opponent's grasp for a few years. My usual opponents being my kids. I've recently starting mucking about with FUBAR and find it to my liking and in the first game with the kids they took to it quite naturally. One thing in it's favor is that it's very quick to set-up and play.

Will probably play TW with adults, once I find some to convert...willingly or not.

Have you looked at Gruntz yet?
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
John Stuart Mill
English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)

I read the Beta, didn't care for it.

I'm playing Gruntz but also bought Tommorow's War. TW looks like it would handle infantry combat pretty well but i don't care for how it handles Vees (seems overly complex for little value) but I really like how Gruntz handles Vees with infantry, if that makes sense.
