Got a new job in a cardiovascular ICU and I just haven't had the time to paint like I was the past few months.

He had a light coat of white primer b/c I use Vallejo paints, which are not optimized for Bones minis. As with other Bones minis I've painted, I noticed zero difference between painting the Bones figure and painting a metal figure.

The fur pattern is a good idea. I like the eyes, the snout and the jaws.
This model is very dynamic and your base is also nicely detailed.

Thanks. I used a combination of a London grey and a medium brown. From there I went darker and lighter as appropriate. I was very proud of the color overall. To make the hyena splotches I used the original base color I created. Grey and brown really make a dynamic combo as I learned.

I used this picture as inspiration for the work. I loved the 3e gnolls.

Solid paintjob, nice and clean. I like your color choices too.

Really awesome. I love it. The color choices for his mane, armor and skirt make think of Aquaman (Aquagnoll?). But, maybe that's just me and I am mildly deranged...

I think I have a forum painting challenge. Paint a figure up like Aquaman!

I love the 3e gnolls too, and you did a great job on the pattern there, which looks like it stepped right off of your inspiration page. Excellent basing as well.

Very nice work! I really like your base work, too. Thanks very much for posting this. I've been wondering how the Bones figures held up to painting.
