Hello all!

Again it has been a while. I do not seem to have a lot of time to paint or surf the web anymore, but every now and then I get a break and try to get something done and posted. Here is the latest. Tara the Silent. If anyone is contemplating getting this mini, I highly recommend it. Very wonderful to paint. Anyway hope you all like her.

Comments and Critiques always welcome.

JIm- Nice version of this Klocke classic. I like the black and red colors together and the base work is well done too.

WK has always made my favorite female sculpts. :)

She looks great, and I love the base! Good color choices, and her face really captures a cautious yet lethal edge to it. Nicely done!

Really good and smooth paint job.
Is the base made of cork? I’ve never used cork, it look like real limestone, nice effect.

I really like her skin tone. What did you use as her base color?

Your red came out nicely and her face looks great. She is one of my favorite Werner Klocke minis.

Actually the base is made from pieces of rusty flaked steel, stacked together, primed, then painted. We have some metal stairs where i work, they forgot to treat along time ago and large pieces of the steel keep falling off. It looked interesting, so I started picking up for basing material. I use cork most of the time though and if cut right, can look a lot like stone.

Thanks. I basically just used the Master Series, Tanned Skin triad. The triad never seem to fail me when needing a highlight and shadow color.

Hey! Great looking mini; I really like your work with the face and the red! I've seen your stuff in the Inspiration gallery for some time now and have long been impressed by it, so it's cool to finally see one of your posts on the forums. ::):

I am glad you like the mini and have checked my stuff out in the inspiration gallery. I used to have more time to post, but alas life gets in the way. Now, it takes me a few weeks to a month to get a mini done when it used to be days, so it's usually a long wait in between posts here. Reaper is really the only place I do post anymore because I feel at home here with the good folks at Reaper and the quality people that post on the forums.
