I always get gencon and origins confused. We're missing one of them… I'm thinking it's GenCon, that's the one in August, right? We're doing PAX Prime in August.

It was because of logisitcs. GenCon and Pax Prime are just to close together.

That's too bad. I will have to relay this info to my gaming group. I know that the guys were really looking forward browsing the booth again this year. I guess they will have to find another minis booth to grab their attention like you did last year.

I will certainly miss all the Reaper Road Crew - Gen Con just won't be the same without you.

I know I will miss seeing Reaper at Gencon... One of my favorite booths to visit when I can manage time away from my booth.

Logistics is all. Hard for us to be in two places at once, quantum tunneling notwithstanding.

As it turns out, not a lot of miniature companies attend, but many tabletop gaming companies are there. Our PAX presence is a booth with our stuff for sale and a free-for-all paint and take event. It was packed at PAX East. Lot of fun.

Yeah, same here. I tend to save up all my money for minis until Gencon, so I can see them, and the color of the paint, which is seriously hard to judge online. There are other booths, I guess! Lucky Pax.That's too bad. I will have to relay this info to my gaming group. I know that the guys were really looking forward browsing the booth again this year. I totally understand that you can't be at every convention. I hope that PAX is a great success.

I wish there was a way to do both shows, but PAX Prime and GenCon are less than 2 weeks apart, and that's just not enough time to get the booth and materials back to Denton, restocked, and shipped up to Seattle for the show (Transport alone is over half that time - 2 days home (via freight carrier) and 4 day transport time to Seattle eating up overhalf of our 10 day window, leaving em with 4 days to unpack, inventory, and resupply). We spend ages trying to work out timelines and it just became obvious that we couldn't manage both.

It's defiantly understandable as I feel crazy just for going to ComicCon and Gencon in the same year and I'm not managing a booth.
At Gencon you're preaching to the choir but at Pax you have the oopportunityto bring new people to the hobby so I can see why you choose one over the other.
