Is there anything on the way in from the airport?
Seriously, we have to stop talking about BBQ! I swear I'm gaining weight just by reading this thread.
I guess it could be worse. I don't think that Texas would have much in the way of sushi - my other vice.
Less than a month! What are you looking forward to the most?

Texas actually has some world-class sushi in major cities. Heck the small town I live in has several sushi places and they are all very good. The sushi does stack up nicely to the stuff I had in Japan.

Yea I have had some excellent Sushi in DFW. Lucky for you, I don't know anywhere close to Denton.

Re: BBQ on the way in - there is a BBQ stand on the south side of Swisher (that would be your left, if you are heading in to Reaper from I-35), no more than a 1/2 of a mile down the road from the Swisher/I-35E junction. They are in the parking lot of a strip center, and I wanna say the name of the place is Dusty's. You could do worse for your first BBQ stop in TX.
Also, there is decent sushi to be had in the Denton-Lewisville area. About a dozen of us went out for sushi one of the evenings last year, and we had a very nice meal. Sorry, MC, you are boned.

I read some place not too long ago that the Dallas / Ft Worth area is in the top 3-4 cities in the US when it comes to restaurants / eateries per square mile.

Reaper just announced their award ceremony for Wednesday which includes brisket! I'm guessing everything in Texas includes brisket at this point.

Yeah, BBQ for the "Meet & Eat" has become a tradition over the last several years. It's a great way to ease into the con, have a nice meal, and socialize. Regrettably, due to Kim's flight schedule, I don't think we'll make it in time for dinner (or if we do, it's going to be very close). Enjoy!

Yea I most likely will be there at 6 at the earliest due to work and traffic. Hopefully it will be at 6 not 5. I would love to see the Hall of Fame inductions.
