It's for Craftics Glue for Clear Plastic.

I bought a few Litko items & I need to assemble them. Superglue will frost the clear plastic.

Hate to have to buy that glue just for assembling.

Thinkin this might work. I've seen it plus other glues like it in the craft section:

My wife says that stuff dries clear, but not totally. She says it has roughly the consistency of hot glue gun glue when it is cured. She also says it stinks.

Not totally 100% on the vapor thing, but I can tell you that she uses it to put together bracelets, and some of these have clear plastic protecting the images inside, and I've never seen them vapor over.

Why not just use white glue (Elmers)?

Have you tried Hobby Lobby or Michael's? They may also carry the glue that you need.

I found that Sharkhead (I think) 5 minute epoxy dries clear, I get it at hobby lobby

You might try a marine supply, aquarium supply, or custom plastic/plexiglass shop for that stuff.

All good ideas, thanks

thing with HL or Mich, both are out of town for me (about an hour to two hours drive & back). I may look at JoAnns or even better at the glue section at Wallyworld,

epoxies, ehhh them & me don't mix too well, ha ha. I think I've gotten 1 time to work when you using it.

Elmer's might work not sure as it's clear plastic & colored clear plastic that is being bonded together.

Again, all great ideas, at least it gets me thinkin + no need to buy the Craftics (wait + shipping extra for that one)

5 minute epoxy dries mostly clear. It is very slightly yellowish. If you're just using it at assembly points that might not matter? Though it's more expensive than the stuff you linked to, so that probably doesn't help. :-> (Unless you already have some lying about.)

Elmer's will not work for that application.

Figure Elmer's wouldn't. I do have some epoxy around here. I may have to give it a try. Gotta get use to it, due to I'd love for it work for me.

Walmart sells an epoxy in a dual syringe like thing so you always get a perfect mix.

That one is the worst for me. Some reason I always put too much of one in the mix & its just a goo mixture that never sets up properly. I do have a small dual syringe that I bought a couple years ago. I should test with that one.

if anything I can always use a carefully place drop of Gorilla glue when I put the items together. (I'm assembling the doors that Litko has). If anything the fogging if any wouldn't be too bad (dark door).

I do find that epoxy glue gets old eventually, with eventually being 1.5 - 2 years or so after I bought it. It's only with older glue that I've had problems with it not curing. I just accept that I have to replace that and CA glue (gets super thick) every few years, though I don't love the fact.

Also when I mix epoxy, I'm not stingy with it. I usually dollop out a dime sized drop of each half of the mix side-by-side on an index card and then mix vigorously with a toothpick.

Not sure what Litko items you've got, but I put my flaming debris markers together with Elmers and so far so good. They aren't 'structural' tho. FWIW another couple of options would be watch makers glue (for attaching bezels and such) or clear plastic glue, used for attaching canopies and the like on plastic models. Also, if you dip the parts in Future Floor Wax and let them cure, then the super glue won't craze the parts. A lot of guys use that trick for attaching canopies to aircraft models.

Michael

P.S. I have the worst luck with the Epoxy Syringes. They don't really flow evenly from both sides, and they can take a LOT of force to get them started and then they'll suddenly release. Big mess! :(

Yup that is me! ha ha

You know I didn't even think about the bottle of watch maker glue I have for that. As noted I use when I attach clear plastics when I'm doing models.

Duh!!

Yah I've got the single "wooden" door that attach to the clear base & the double doors.
