I just bought a half dozen miniatures from Reaper and I was excited to discover that a free dropper bottle of paint had been included with my order. That was a cool bonus. I have been examining the bottle and I used the paint on one of my models. I like it and it's great stuff. I cannot figure out what color I have been given. There was no color name on the label. My best guess is that this is Muddy Brown 09028. I got that notion from browsing the Reaper site and looking at color swatches. I was wondering if any knowledgeable person on these message boards could tell me with certainty what color I have here. Thanks very much. Here is a picture of my bottle of paint:

It's a sample color. It really has no official name. When Reaper makes paint & then doesn't match the color they want they get these. Sample colors. They are put into purchases as a bonus gift. I got a flesh tone paint in my order yesterday.
Again, no official name just a batch that wasn't like the color they wanted. Instead of tossing it they give it too us a "thanks for trying our paint!"

Sadly, paint samples like this may or may not match paints in the MSP line. They are quality paint products that for whatever reason did not work out as expected.
Sorry about that, but free paint is still better than no paint IMO.
If you can feed a paint swatch into the Power Palette, it will tell you which paints are closest to this one.

Thanks for the info about the paint sample. I don't really mind that it doesn't match exactly with one of the official colors. I am still happy that I got it for free. Thanks to both of you for posting answers to my question.

Wow that Power Palette is a neat little tool. That thing earns its place in my collection of bookmarks. Thanks for linking that.
