2. There are some new, exclusive (not re-releases) sculpts in Bones.
3. It is a new, separate line (Dark Heaven Bones 77xxx).
4. They are *not* resin. They are polymer figures, i.e. they aren't brittle, but somewhat flexible.
Does this clear some things up?

To tell the truth, I like those two minis so much (espeically the female) that I may just go ahead and give Bones a try. I doubt it will displace metal minis as my favorite, but if its the only way to get some figures I may put up with it.You should give 'em a shot if you ever get the chance.
I honestly don't get the big deal about saving a buck or so on an individual mini like this (Bones, P-65). If I was building a GW style army, where I needed 100+ figures then it makes sense becuase the savings adds up, but for just one "character" figure it doesn't matter to me.However, at a higher price, than they are going to be in the Bones line.

Also, if Bones really takes off, those with regular fantasy gaming groups, while only needing a handful of hero models each year, will greatly be able to expand their monster collections to throw against the PC party.

I don't worry too much about dropping a couple hundred dollars on a hobby (of which I have too many), so the idea of saving a few dollars a month doesn't matter to me, compared to my intangible preferences. Given the choice, I'll always chose metal over plastic/resin/polymer even if the cost is greater. Heck, the only reason I buy plastic figures for my GW armies, is becuase the metal one's aren't made anymore.

I guess I'm just too old school (or maybe just too old!). Maybe I'm not open to new ideas, and maybe I've forgotten what its like to be a 13 year old who has to skrimp for every dollar they spend on miniatures, paint and brushes.

Aside from GW plastics, I share your feeling. I don't buy plastics. I do hope Reaper is successful with them, and even if they switched to all new releases being Bones, I still have enough of their catalog to collect in metal for the rest of my life.
