In the case of the NIC figures, are these only available by direct order through Reaper or are they still carried by miniature distributors as well?
Thanks!

I would go so far as to say that Reaper is more interested in selling figures than in forcing you (or game stores) to buy catalogs, considering the number of Casket Works they give away free. I'm fairly sure they wouldn't sue, blacklist, or charge in with torches and pitchforks if you were printing one or two to have around the game store for customer and/or management use. They're all about customer service.
I will, however, say that mine is not the official word, and that perhaps Ed or Bryan might be the ones to ask. However, you are not likely to see either of them around the Forums until Monday or so, which is why I'm sticking my nose in.
NIC figures, generally, can't be found at stores unless they've been sitting there since they've been in production. SOME NIC figures can be obtained from Reaper, since they still have some sitting around the factory.. However, once they're gone, they're gone.

However, it was my understanding that Reaper could and would cast up NICed minis upon request...
Of course everything I just said is even less official....

I see no problem with you printing those, in part or in whole, for that purpose. I do object if you wish to sell them, however. In the case of the Casket Works PDF catalog is it ok to print and bind for use in a game store or do they need to obtain a copy through 'official' channels?
Almost anything NIC is still available from us, or via special order through your retailer. Retailers may get these if they order from us, but Distributors will not carry them.In the case of the NIC figures, are these only available by direct order through Reaper or are they still carried by miniature distributors as well?
Thanks!
There are a few NIC items we are no longer able to make, including Exalted, DOOM, and L5R minis, Dragon's Don't Share, and a few others. It's best to ask if there's a specific figure, or do a search on our site. If it shows up with an "add to cart" button, your FLGS would be allowed to order it, or you can order it directly.

For clarity, the term NICed was coined because these items are not OOP (out of production), but they do not appear in the Casketworks catalog nor are they available through distribution channels, however they are still available by direct order. Therefore, calling them discontinued or OOP was a bad term. I invented NICed as a new way to define the availability status of these items.
Exalted, DOOM, and L5R minis, Dragon's Don't Share are all discontinued and OOP. Bryan is just trying to add back to the confusion of terminologies by calling them NICed and so I will have to beat him with a brick!

Ah. I stand corrected. I assumed NIC stuff was OOP, period,
