Hey all,

I have been in contact with SonicMike. As always he is hard at work preparing for the mini Sonic at the ReaperCon 2012. I have spoken to him about vegetarian/vegan options and have come up with a menu item or two that he can prepare for us with these diets using the Sonic Menu. One is a breakfast burrito and the other is a wrap. SonicMike asked me to start a thread to find just how many of us there are so he can be better prepared in making these "off teh menu" items.

So, if you are Vegetarian, vegan, plant strong, or any other variation please respond to this thread so we can get a count of sorts.

Thanks!

Lue.

I'm not a Vegan, but I'd go for veggie breakfast tacos - probably any time of the day as well since I'm working my diet down to mainly healthy stuff.

I'd cheerfully pay SonicMike for grilled onions, no matter HOW he wanted to serve them.

It sounds like the food vendor really tries to make sure there's food for everyone. Is sonic's a food chain in Texas?

Actually Sonic is a nationwide chain but yes it's a 50s style drive-in fast food place.

thanks Haldir,

I looked it up on the internet. Sounds interesting. The closest Sonic is 6 hours away in Ohio. I'm guessing it may be a more west coast/southern think. Either way, I appreciate that they are taking the time to ask questions instead of just "what you see is what you get".

I'd love a good vegan/vegetarian option. Not that I wont eat meat, but I would definitely eat significantly less if there were other options.

...and this is just one MORE thing in praise of ReaperCon. How many cons are there where the main food vendor is willing to discuss vegan options for attendees' convenience?

Having been recently put on a restrictive diet by my doctor I would definitely appreciate a vegetarian option. Without it the plan was to eat breakfast at the hotel, leave at lunchtime to find something I can eat, or pack snacks, and then dinner out somewhere.

While not a vegetarian (or vegan) I do enjoy having a less meat heavy diet. I've always been a fan of the Sonic grilled cheese and, frankly, that's what I'll be getting if/when I end up eating something at the con.

Vegetarian here! I enjoy my yearly Sonic grilled cheese sandwiches and tots, but a few more options would be very welcome! (Especially some with more veggies or fruit, but I don't think the full Sonic menu features too many of those.) I usually eat breakfast at the hotel, but I would welcome a breakfast burrito as an option for lunch or dinner, too.

Thank you Sonic Mike for even asking, above and beyond the call of duty!

Well SonicMike is definitely willing to accomodate us and add a few more option. Also, if you can think of grilled type food that could be made Mike may consider it. I just didn't want him buying a lot of extras if there was only going to be one or two people. Please continue to reply if interested or have additional input.

Lue.

Sliced zucchini grills up nicely and quickly, and it keeps a good few days raw. I shall ponder if I can come up with other ideas.
