I purchased my first reaper paints a few weeks ago, with another $50 worth enroute now.

the first batch, the nozzles on the bottles keep clogging. Every day it seems another one is out of commission. I soak it overnight, dig it out with a toothpick and then another one clogs.

What can I do to prevent this?

I've only had one really bad reaper dropper, and what I did probably isn't the recommended solution, that I fixed by using my pin vice to drill straight through the plastic at the bottom that was getting clogged.

I've had this with pretty much any dropper bottle paint line, not just Reaper. I just keep a large T-pin on my bench and stick it in when one clogs.

I just use a large pin to correct the problem. If it continues to clog on me or the paint is too thick, I just open it up and add some flow improver. Less clogs after that.

If you have a bottle that seems to continously clog no matter how often you clear it with a sharp pointy object there is sometimes a piece of plastic that was not punched all the way through and it is hanging there on a self created hinge. Squeezeing the bottle to get paint out actually forces this closed resulting in a "clog". To fix this remove the top and run a sharp knife around the bottom edge to remove any excess plastic that is hanging there.

I just ordered a large batch of new RMS bottles, and 7 out of the first 10 I opened needed drilled out. Now I just do that before trying to get any paint out.

Just keep in mind that this is not an issue with Reaper but rather with the manufacturer of the bottles.

Ah, the good ole "pokey-tool" is what is needed.

Also, clogged bottles will not dry out as fast... they're self sealing. ;)
