Sunday was a busy day for me, I completed four figures. The first two, 50232 Karla
and 50210 Bonnie were already basecoated but I had a lot of touch up work to do as they got scuffed a bit when I transported them to a friend's house to work on. There's probably several hours work in each figure, and then I put some extra effort into the bases on top of that.
The second pair of figures are mouselings. The scrawny fellow on the left I sculpted in class at Reapercon, he's wearing a tricorne and carrying a pistol from the pirate's weapon pack. The fat fellow on the right started off as the classroom example, and has come to no good end as you can see by his beer and his cigarette. My apologies to Gene for hijacking his sculpt.
In the week or so that I've been doing this personal challenge I've come to some realizations. A table full of unpainted minis is scary. But it doesn't take much to block out some base colors pretty quick, just to get paint on, skintones, boots, large areas of fabric. Nothing that requires a lot of time or coordination.
At that point, the figures are half done and much less intimidating to work on.
