I LOVE this figure, he is so adorable!! The scheme I used was similar to psyduck's from Pokemon. When my son gets older and out of the destructive age of 3 (lol), this will be his :)

I really enjoyed painting him and probably spent a total of 10-11 hours total on him. Enjoy! Comments and Crits welcome and appreciated :)

Nicely done. Your colors work well.

That's adorable! I like the palette, especially the way the base complements the figure.

The only crit I can dredge up is that the eyes, the beak, and the face-fur blend together a little -- some subtle darklining would really make it pop.

Thanks! I do agree with the colors being awful close. I did a brown ink wash over the fur in hopes of giving it some contrast. In person, there's more contrast but the photo didn't get it.. arg!

Great job, I just got my full set of them in the mail and I'm so excited to get to work on them. My only question is why didn't you straighten out his stick? I'm wondering what your thought process was in leaving it bent like that. And yes, I do realize that there is a good chance the OP will never read this because it was posted several years ago- but I thought I would take a chance.

I like it bent, looks like a gnarly old stick.

I wonder if the fig has made the transition to her son. He should be around 5 now.

She is still active on the boards. I saw her post something just a little bit ago. So she may be able to tell us how it went. :)
