I went into the hobby comic shop in Houston I always hit back when I lives there. I was buying Ral Partha minis and Battletech stuff. I spotted the new section of green carded minis and checked them out, the detail was leaps ahead of Parthas stuff. To make the deal even better the figures were only about $2 a piece, I could get three for about what most of the Partha ran. Of course this was like 1992 or so, I have been a predominate Reaper buyer since then.

Been painting figures since I was about 12, and my dad started me off with a few figures and some paints. Reaper and Ral Partha figures, and a few no-name ones. I noticed that the majority of the ones I ended up finishing were labeled with "S. Garrity." When I started getting more figures, I saw that a lot of hers were Reaper's, and that when I went to hobby shops, the figures I liked most were Reaper ones. Others on occasion, but the theme was almost always right with the DHL types. Been on-off painting since I started, but it still holds true that most of my figures are here, due to them being most available good ones.

There used to be this store called Sigma 957 or something in a city near me (it's gone now though) and I went in years ago originally to pick up some Clan War stuff. They had a big selection of DH things. I think one of the first things I bought was the blister of two robed spirits, the wraith with the firey sword and a few other things though I don't recall them. And I've been buying ever since!

I've been collecting miniatures since somebody gave my parents a Grenadier Halflings box around 1980. I used to get stuff from small specialty toy stores (when I could find it) until my favorite FLGS opened about sixteen years ago. Reaper stuff just eventually showed up there, probably about ten years ago, though I think I resisted looking into it until their large inventory of leftover Ral Partha began to dwindle significantly.

Mostly I started with Reaper's ogres. Still dig some of those big nasties the best.

Let's see, my first experience with Reaper...

Well, my first experience with miniatures was with GW, specifically Ulthwe Eldar. This was during 40k Third Edition, and the infamous Ulthwe Seer Council. I needed lots of Warlock and Farseer models, and GW only made so many, and I didn't want lots of the same figures for rather unique figures. I also wanted some female Farseers and Warlocks, so in web searches I found Reaper and their figure finder. And I found plenty of Farseers and Warlocks to use. Boy was I a happy Ulthwe player. More recently I've started a GURPS fantasy campaign with my friends and wanted minis for the party. Turned immediately to Reaper, due to the remembered selection, and on a more pratical level the price, which I love. The price level and selection of miniatures led me to then look into Warlord, haven't played a game of it yet, but I've read the rule book and me likey.

Tabletop games enthusiast. I staryed with WHF and 40k, then stepped up to Hordesmachine and recently Malifaux. The biggest problems with the lattertr games is that resolving attacks and actions can often be time-consuming. i was looking for something a little faster and someone recommended Warlord.

I had painted a few Reaper minis as test pieces for new techniques and liked the style they had. Having a cool game with a quick resolution mechanic made it a no-brainer.

All that's left is to find another playewr locally or to get a few of the peeps at the FLGS to try it out.

I was introduced to Reaper when I was introduced to the great world of gaming. I was a sophomore in college and the guy I was dating was a D&Der for life--he had the original grey box set and some of the first minis produced. He took me to a couple of gaming sessions that were high level planescape games and I still liked it enough to want to try it. So when we started a first level game he took me to the game store to introduce me to the great people working there and then showed me this huge wall of little green blisters with wee pewter people in them. I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Reaper has been my favorite ever since!

Was building a specialist squad for warhammer, decided that GW minis are limited and not that cool, so I started looking around and ended up here. Now like half my army is made up of Reaper stuff.

Overheard at someone else's gaming session, between two grrl gamers:

"If you want to use a metal miniature, go with the Reaper ones. They're, like, the only company where the female figures have clothes on and don't have gigantic boobs."

I thought about saying something about Werner Klocke, but decided not to.

I came across Reaper miniatures years back when I was in Phoenix (Arizona) at my LGS, didn't really pay them much mind as I was a 40k player at the time and not really interested in fantasy games, though this past Friday I went to my FLGS here in Dubuque (Iowa) with a friend, and we were looking at GW's and PP's products but had always been intrigued by the section in the back of the store after GW and PP, the corner where Reaper reigns, and whilst looking for a distraction from the other companies' expensive products, we stumbled across 7 Warlord army boxes (Crusaders, Darkspawn, Dwarves, Necropolis, Nefsokar, Overlords, and Reven) all for the lovely price of $20, so of course I picked up the Overlords box after deliberating for all of 5 minutes. =P

I was a young high school aged gamer in the early to mid 90s and at a convention in Dallas I played in a game where the GM gave miniatures to his players. Garath Hawkblade was the first miniature I ever owned and introduced me to both Sandra Garrity and Reaper Miniatures.

After having taken a much longer than expected hiatus from my secret RPG addiction, I was talking with an old friend about getting back into gaming. He jealously pointed out I was in biking distance (yeah right) of this place that made miniatures. I went there to get him a 40th B-day gift (sadly, he is younger than I), and wandered in amazement wondering why the heck I had ever stopped playing. I took my kids a few weeks later and started picking up the necessary baddies to make sure players can see what they are up against. No looking back now!

After taking a number of years off from both painting and RPG gaming, I got back into it in the mid 90s. That prompted me to make a visit to the closest FLGS to me, where I found this interesting company called Reaper Miniatures. BTW, Sophie wasn't on the back of the blister yet. I was amused by their slogan, something like "What miniatures should look like." They were good miniatures. I've been a fan ever since.

@Dr Bedlam - Werner Klocke is one thing I absolutely love about Reaper. Male or female, he does beautiful work.
