The local FLGS received the second wave today. I'm very happy with the paint jobs which are a marked improvement over the first wave. Also, the minis aren't glossy like the first wave. There is very little in the way of touch up I'll have to do on these figures; great job, REAPER! Now, when is the third wave coming? I need those demons and gnolls! :)

Emailed my closest FLGS and asked if they had any Reaper LE zombies.

"I did.. then quickly sold out last night at our D&D 4th ed release. I’ll get more back in next week. "

Yeah some of the online retailers are already out as well. I wanted to pick up some zombies for some 28mm zombie hunting fun using Chain Reaction 2. Well, at least until I pick up a copy of All Things Zombie.

So I picked up my first minis from the LE second wave - one each good and evil human warriors.

I'm quite impressed with the paint jobs on these guys. I'm a little less impressed with the plastic they're made from - a little too flimsy for my tastes.

I'd really love to see some bulk deals on some of the grunt types.

I saw a few 2nd wave LE at the FLGS the other day and they look pretty good. I was close to getting the female ranger, but passed. I noticed how small the great worm is, and for its price, I'd rather get a DDM Purple Worm:

I am more interested in the Goblins, Kobolds, Gnolls.

The elves are ok I sort of wish they picked a better "ranger" elf than they did but oh well

The purple worm I dont really like that much. I perfer the DDM one also.

The zombie...sigh..I cant say I like it that much but its a good to grab to add diversity imo (easier for a GM/DM to track HP etc)

I do want that mummy though

The knights I would have rather seen the crimson knights done for the "evil" knights

The "illithid" (forgot what reaper calls them) makes a nice addition though.

All in all I cant wait for set 3....where is set 3?....its being shipped right?....

You want'em faster?!?! I'm all about slow and steady. My budget is beset on all sides now with DHL, Warlord, CAV, and now LE. I need a drink and a lie down.
