So I have been hyping this game up since ReaperCon 07 here in Austin, TX. If you build us rules the players will come. If you give us an idea of base size and if the 1/48 Tamiya are what we might be looking at then many of us can assist in the getting stuff built and painted, so that there can be more at ReaperCon 08.

2013 Painting Goal: 36 Figures/ 9 Painted as of 05/21/2013

For other Wargame and miniature related stuff you can read my blog at http://tacticalrock.blogspot.com

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

I've been mainly use 1/72 scale myself. The Forces of Valor PPF are excellent, with both sides and vehicles nicely represented. Not to mention getting a bag of Zombie, Zombie Babes, and the ever cuddly Zombie Dogs is cheap. It does garner a lot of attention at the LGS. People love the concept; though, the younger 40k people just want the table for themselves. Punks. :;):

I'd like to see Reapers interpretation of the figures. Heck, even a peak a green would be sweet. With their eye for detail I'm very excited about the final product.

Perhaps we can sacrifice some LOLcats to the Great, and Mighty Ed and see what signs or portents we get.

Oh, Almighty Ed, we beseech you.....................pony up bro.

I think the cute little puppy above says it all.

Any morsal of info, considering that next month is suppossed to be the "Go" time.

The guy at the LGS and I were talking about the release this last Saturday and he mentioned he thought he had some promo pics of the new figs. Needless to say I was "Like, OhMyFrickinGosh Marsha! Show me, now!!!!!!"

He's digging around and realizes it was Chronoscope he saw. Major bummer. Major.

So, I'm hoping if Reaper shows something Soons (no trademark infringment intended), they won't do it nextTuesday because I'll be skeptical.

Bill

I think we need to have some of the BL peeps infilitrate the RotD project, then come back here and taunt us with the info so we can get some tidbits. :;):

From what I've seen, they're going to be 54mm and deviate from the normal anime look of warlord by having a style heavily influenced by Edvard Munch's The Scream.

54mm figures for Reich of the Dead? Are you possibly thinking of Warzone?

I thought RotD was 28mm? I hope so, otherwise that would cause problems.

Eitherway, thanks for the BL inside info. :;):

Tell me about it. Do you know how hard it is to squeeze 54mm figures into 28mm vehicles? You have to tear out the old seats and upgrade. That costs money. And the 54mm driver usually ends looking like a gang-banger leaning over to the middle. Or Zentradi out on a lark.

That or Shaq driving a car. ::):

It's silly. Just silly I tell you. 54mm. Bah!

But, before this gets derailed tooooo much. Last I heard Ed say online here, the RotD figures are 28mm scale, not 54mm.

Yes, I was being facetious. They are neither 54mm, nor artistically influenced by The Scream.

Oh sure, it's all fun and games until the Waffen-Reaper troops show up. Those guys have a sense of humor like an accountant at imbezzlement time.

You thought Toby Keith was tough with the old boot in the butt thing. Wait till a Panzer-Painter whacks ya with a paintbrush upside the tuccas.
