I did not do the sculpt justice, but here it is.

Cool mini, definitely like that gaping maw.

I'm not so sure I'd want to get hit by a missile with a "dog brain" AI.

Good looking mini. The maw is excellent and I think you have done a great job on the stony skin. The tentacles look a bit wonky to me, just because have always thought of them as being more like squid or octopus tentacles without the "fingers" on the end. I tend to have a problem adjusting to change, however.

the cilia were inspired by underwater tube worms. Because the strands each drain 2d8 points of strength in a system there humans range from 3 to 18, I felt they should have a look that shows off how they do it. The cilia did not come out very well, but here is a pic of the roper that shows the strand cilia a bit better.

I am glad you all like this. Oh, BTW do check out the new plastic D&D Miniature's roper, quite lovecraftian looking..

Nice work. Is that a Reaper sculpt?
Those who don't understand THAC0 (subtracting a small number from another small number) should probably not admit to it in public.

HOLY THREAD NECROMANCY! This thread is 3 years old!

Nice work. Is that a Reaper sculpt?

This is not a Reaper sculpt. IIRC, this is something that Peter Lee had made up and sold himself...

Oddly enough, he is actually now involved with WotC's DDM line.

Nah, Reaper doesn't make Ropers. That particular species of stony lurker is a D&D monster, so it would be wrong for Reaper to make one.

Not Reaper Ropers either
