That sword! I know I'm going to regret not pinning it. It was bending this way and that the whole time I was painting the figure. I'd love to straighten it out, but I'm afraid it might snap off if I bend it again, and pinning AFTER painting is not something I look forward to ever having to do.
Yeah, I hate flimsy stuff like that. I usually bend it back as slowly as possible to _hopefully_ get it straight; you'd be surprised at how strong they actually are. As for washing, if you want some flesh wash I have some you can borrow, it works wonders and it'll make the fingers more prominent as they are blending in to the staff itself. The wash fills in the detail and it's "fleshy" color.
As for CMoN, wow, I don't post over there yet as at the moment I'm not comfortable enough in my skills to get my figures rated. I might someday, but right now; no. Tim's told me about it quite a few times and he frequents there to look at figs, especially while getting ideas for 40k figures. I go to look for figures if I can't find any from Reaper.

The curse of the bent sword strikes again. There's no easy answer to it. I've had to pin a couple after painting and then repair the paint job - it's a pain in the posterior and no mistake.
